Privacy statement

Transus Holding B.V., hereinafter referred to as ‘Transus’, respects the privacy of visitors to our website and the users of our services. We treat the data and personal data that you provide us with carefully and confidentially through well-secured connections. Data processing is carried out in a manner that is in accordance with the requirements set by the applicable laws and regulations such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the GDPR Implementation Act. By using our site and/or our services, you acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions contained in this privacy statement.

Basis of the data processing
We process personal data for the purpose of entering into and implementing agreements with regard to the services provided by us and for the purpose of managing the resulting relationships and/or transactions. We also receive personal data through clients and third parties which we process, as we have a legitimate interest to do so.
Your personal data will not be provided to third parties without your explicit and direct or indirect consent unless this is necessary in order to implement an agreement, provide a particular service or when required by law.

Which personal data do we process?
Personal data is any information that may provide details about an identifiable natural person.
We use and process data such as name and address details and/or delivery addresses, e-mail information and telephone numbers, gender, order data and order history. We need this information in order to contact you and to be able to implement and/or to comply with the agreements made with you.
We may use the personal data of our customers, but also that of third parties who have given their express consent, to send information or commercial messages relating to our company and services. More information on this can be found under the following heading.

Web form or email
Data that is provided to us via a contact or registration form on the website or via an e-mail will be kept by us for as long as the nature of the form or the content of your e-mail is needed for a complete reply and handling thereof. Your contact details are kept in our secure relationship management system.

Delivery of services
Data and communication that runs via our online and offline systems in execution of the services offered by us, is processed carefully and automatically. This data and communication is highly secured and is described below. Where we are legally regarded to be 'Processors' of personal data under the GDPR, we also conclude processing agreements with those parties.

Secured storage of data
Transus only uses data centres that are ISO/IEC 27001 certified, which guarantees the security of the data storage to the furthest extent possible. This ISO certification sets high requirements for the establishment, implementation, execution, monitoring, evaluation, maintenance and improvement of a documented Information Security Management System in the context of the general business risks related to this data storage.
A database will only be connected to the Internet if it is strictly necessary for the delivery of services. The following additional stringent security requirements will be applied to the connection, protocols used and password crypt.

Security of the connection and application
The passwords used and provided to users by Transus are compliant with the secure one-way hash encryption. In addition to this encryption, our web applications use the https protocol and all data runs via secure connections which have been issued in accordance with the SHA256 certificate and validated by a certificate authority.

Retention period
We do not retain data any longer than required for the purpose of processing. This retention period may differ per situation. In doing so, we use the statutory retention and/or prescription periods as a reasonable starting point.

Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete the personal data that we process about you. You also have the right to submit a request to us to transfer the digital data that we process about you to a third party that you have indicated.

If you would like to know which personal data about you we process, you can send us a written access request. You can also contact us if you have any questions, comments or complaints.
